Under HSE Legislation, it is a mandatpry requiment that any person who could encounter Asbetos as part of their activities, must receive Asbestos Awareness Training. There are currently over 5500 annual UK Asbestos deaths, and this training is one of the ways that workers can be protected.

Asbestos Awareness Training - IATP Approved
This Asbestos Awareness course is in line with the requirements as prescribed by the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (Regulation 10) and has been externally assessed by the Independent Asbestos Training Providers (IATP) association.
The covers all areas of asbestos awareness and is designed for anyone who may come into contact with asbestos as part of their work activities. Most commonly, that includes builders, plumbers, electricians, carpenters and other building (or “deconstruction”!) related and maintenance trades however it can be specifically tailored to your sector upon request.
The course content includes (but not limited to); origins of the mineral, exposure health effects, typical uses and location of ACMs, emergency procedures, the regulatory framework including in introduction to Surveys, Material Assessment Scores and the Management off Asbestos in Buildings…
Our Asbestos training course is designed to ensure that anyone who may come into contact with asbestos knows what asbestos is, where it can be found, the dangers of asbestos and how to protect themselves from accidental exposure. Furthermore, we utilize samples of real Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) to ensure that all learners are familiar with said materials.
The course is delivered by time served, Asbestos industry H&S pros with years of experience of real-life situations.
Upon successful completion of the 3-4 hr session, all learners will receive a certificate of attendance valid for 12 months; each certificate contains a unique QR code where the certificate validity can be checked on the IATP website.
Open courses are held at 1974 Rapport HQ or bespoke session for up to 15 learners can be hosted at your premises. We also offer “Non Licenced” (NLW & NNLW) training for those required to undertake works on lower risk ACMs.
